Return and Refund Policy

This policy applies to every work bought from danielamilitaru.com or by invoice from the studio. It does not affect your statutory rights.

Changing your mind

If you are buying as a consumer, you can cancel your order at any time from the moment you place it until 14 days after the day you receive the work. You do not need to give a reason.

To cancel, email studio@danielamilitaru.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You can use the form at the end of this policy, but you do not have to.

Returning a work on paper

Send the work back within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling. We will email you the return address. You pay the cost of returning it. Please pack it securely, ideally in its original packaging, and use a tracked service insured to the work’s full value. Keep your proof of postage.

Returning a painting

For a painting delivered in the UK, we arrange collection at our cost, on a date agreed with you. For a painting delivered outside the UK, the cost of returning it is stated in our delivery quote, before you buy.

Your refund

We refund the price of the work and any standard delivery charge you paid, within 14 days of receiving the work back, or of receiving proof that you have sent it, whichever is sooner. If you cancel before the work is dispatched, we refund you in full within 14 days of your cancellation. Refunds are made to your original payment method, with no fee.

You may examine a work as you would in a gallery. If it has been handled beyond that and has lost value as a result, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss.

If a work arrives damaged or not as described

Please email us as soon as you can, ideally within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the work and the packaging, and keep the packaging. This helps us claim from the carrier. It does not limit your rights.

We arrange and pay for the return, and refund you in full, including delivery. As each work is an original, a replacement is not usually possible. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you can reject a faulty or misdescribed work within 30 days of delivery, and you may have further rights after that.
