About

Daniela Militaru is a contemporary artist whose work combines imaginative range with technical precision. Her practice moves across watercolour, oil, and ink, but the hand stays recognisable: a clear visual control, a sense of imaginative discipline, and a willingness to follow a piece wherever it asks to go.

She was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2021, where her painting Sunday Walk sold during the first week of the exhibition. Since then her work has been shown across the UK in galleries, prizes, and group exhibitions, including the RBSA Prize Exhibition in Birmingham, the Oxmarket Contemporary Gallery in Chichester, and the Royal Scottish Academy.

Alongside her studio practice, she works as a Bespoke Commission Specialist – Artistry at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, where she paints by hand on the leather and textile interiors of bespoke commissions. She painted the headliner of the Cosmos Cullinan, the first fully hand-painted headliner in the marque's history, from a design developed with the wider Bespoke team.

She lives and works in Chichester, West Sussex.
